Reignwell POS
Fast at the counter, correct in the books, and honest about what it does not know. We run your till on our server. Your staff open a browser at the shop and it is there, with nothing to install and nothing for you to back up.
At the counter
Ten screens in all, including payments and refunds, open orders, settings and a health screen that nags you until the setup is properly done.
Ring an order up, hold it, send it to the kitchen and take the money. This is the screen that decides whether your staff get on with the system or fight it, so it got the most attention.
What printed and what did not, and the text to copy out by hand when a printer dies mid service. It doubles as a bump screen on any spare tablet you have lying about.
Opening float, cash in and out, no-sale drawer openings, an X reading during the day and the Z close at the end of it.
Daily takings, GST, payment types, best sellers, staff and hour by hour. All of it downloads as a spreadsheet.
Products, prices and the history of every price change. An old receipt reprints with the prices it was actually sold at, however much the menu has moved on.
One person, one account. Refunds, voids, discounts, price overrides and drawer openings all have a name against them, with the manager who approved it recorded separately.
The rules
These are not intentions. Each one is enforced by the software itself and has a test that fails if somebody breaks it.
There is no decimal arithmetic anywhere near your money. Not in the database, not in the till, not on the screen. The rounding errors that plague spreadsheets cannot happen here.
No card number, no CVV, no PIN. There is nowhere in the system to put one and there never has been. Your receipt shows the last four digits and the card type, exactly as it does today.
Not by your staff, not by you, not by us. A correction is a new record pointing at the old one. That is deliberate, and it is what makes the records worth having when somebody asks questions.
A double tap, or a retry after the terminal times out, is recognised as the same payment rather than a second one. Two registers cannot pay the same order at the same moment either.
A declined payment counts as nothing at all. A terminal that never answers is neither paid nor failed: the order stops and waits for a person to check, instead of guessing.
Every recorded action is linked to the one before it. Remove or alter an entry and the chain breaks at that exact point, so it shows rather than disappearing.
Reignwell POS is in development and not on sale yet. It runs on our server today: a demo till and a test cafe till, which is how it gets exercised properly before anybody real depends on it.
Three things you should know before you get interested:
Email us and we will walk you through the demo till. If it is not right for your shop we will tell you that too.
